ok, i would like to submit to the forum the following question: in abstract, do you think that there is a right to not being exposed to ideas that you don’t like or disagree with?
please think it through and its implications on both ends of the spectrum.. it’s not the right to conscientious objection to do something you vehemently disagree with; it’s not about the liberty to chose which ideas you want to embrace or advocate.
it’s something different.. given that, as exjws, we understand the importance of being exposed to different opinions in order to form our own opinion, should someone claim the right not to be exposed to opinions or ideas that they don’t like?

i’m seeing my hard core believing relatives slowly losing faith that the watchtower is the organization that “god” is using to represent him on earth.. just about all the churches in their area have opened up.. but not the watchtower.. this is having an affect on the faith of even the old timers.
now the only ones who are still holding the faith are the female jws and only those past 70 years of age.
even my old male jw relative past 70 are starting to say that it can’t be jehovah’s organization because the other churches are all open and god supposed organization who is supposed to preach the warning message is still closed with no open in sight.

What an opportunity. Invite them in, offer them a free home Bible study. Ask them if they'd like to live forever and tell them you have something far better than a vaccine. Ask them were they live, get their phone number - if they don't live in your area, arrange for a friend to call and call again and keep calling. Make sure you keep some tracts beside the door ready for them.

What really did it was the World Teacher Project.
“Blavatsky had stated in 1889 that the main purpose of establishing the Society was to prepare humanity for the future reception of a “torch-bearer of Truth”, an emissary of a hidden Spiritual Hierarchy that according to Theosophists guides the evolution of Humankind. Well, in 1909 they found him. As it turns out, what a coincidence, living just next door to Theosophy’s headquarters in India, was a 14 year old boy Leadbetter discovered who was this great Teacher, the next Jesus and Buddha. Jiddu Krishnamurti was put into care of Theosophists, his father being too poor to care for him well, and Annie started grooming him for his great future role and established The World Teacher Project to trumpet his Messiahood.
She also began the group The Star In The East, which would follow and spread his teachings. These became the new center of Theosophy alongside Blavatsky’s work.
It was too much for some and the final straw for others. Theosophy began cracking and splitting. The worst split came in 1912 when Rudolph Steiner decided he had enough, split from Theosophy and took over 90% of German Theosophists with him.

Don't try to put dates in Psycho - WT's dates are crazy and make no sense. Jehoiakim reigned for 11 years, so you do a count of 1 to 11. Not 9 to 11, then say Jehoiakim only ruled for 3 years.

Hi Phizzy - I don't know why Rutherford took that name but certainly by opposing the simple maths from Jeremiah and Ezekiel, let alone Daniel, WT renders itself apostate to Jehovah's Witnesses. Quite an achievement in terms of accidents when you think of it. One of those ultimate fails.
